January 6 – Bangladesh – Comilla bus crash. 4 high school students were killed and 23 injured when a school bus went over the side of an elevated portion of Interstate 565. November 20 – United States – 2006 Huntsville bus crash. 19 people were killed and 6 injured when a truck carrying workers was hit by a train. November 13 – South Africa – Faure level crossing accident. 
Five people were killed and six injured when a 65-feet section of a 3-lanes overpass over Autoroute 19 collapsed.
September 30 – Canada – De la Concorde overpass collapse. 11 Arab Israeli tourists were killed when their bus overturned. April 17 – Mexico – Maltrata bus crash. Six people were killed in a hit and run crash where a car hit a group of pedestrians. February 18 – Australia – Cardross road crash. 38 people were killed when a bus struck a land mine. June 7 – Nepal – Badarmude bus explosion. Over 50 people were killed when a bus was hit by train. April 27 – Sri Lanka – Polgahawela level crossing. 55 wedding guests died when a crowded trailer being towed by a tractor was hit by a train. February 3 – India – Nagpur level crossing disaster. Seven were killed and 71 injured when a passenger train hit a car and derailed. November 6 – England – Ufton Nervet rail crash. A double-decker bus collided with pedestrians in the seaside resort of Ingoldmells on the busiest day of the year, killing five people. April 11 – England – 2004 Ingoldmells bus crash. 23 people were killed and 14 were injured when the trailer of a truck carrying heavy paper rolls swerved into a bus. March 19 – Finland – Konginkangas bus disaster. 14 passengers were killed in a bus tragedy at kilometer 63 of Lipis and Merapoh roads (Federal Route 8) near Merapoh, Pahang. November 23 – Malaysia – Merapoh bus tragedy. 54 people were killed in the deadliest road accident in Indonesia. A container truck collided with a bus head-on near Situbondo, then another truck collided with the rear of the bus which caught fire. October 8 – Indonesia – 2003 East Java bus crash. 21 passengers were killed when a bus plunged off a bridge following a collision with a lorry. July 10 – Hong Kong – 2003 Tuen Mun Road bus accident. 30 people died when a bus attempted to cross a closed level crossing in India and was sliced in half by a train. May 1 – South Africa – Sol Plaatje Dam bus crash.14 people died and 11 others were injured on Interstate 40 when a barge collided with a bridge support, causing a 580-foot section of the bridge to plunge into the Arkansas River. May 26 – United States – I-40 bridge disaster.A bridge collapsed as a bus was crossing the Douro in Portugal, killing 59 people. March 5 – Portugal – Hintze Ribeiro disaster.A car was driven off the M62 motorway near a bridge onto railway tracks, causing the derailment of a passenger train and its subsequent collision with a freight train.
February 28 – United Kingdom – Selby rail crash.Between 100 and 200 people were killed when a petrol tanker ploughed into a traffic jam and exploded. November 5 – Nigeria – Ibadan road tanker explosion.Related protest riots the next day killed four more people. Seventy people were killed in a bus pile up in Abuja. August 28 – Nigeria – Abuja bus crash riots.
